Four unreliable sources of authority in our lives
1. Survey Approach
What does the culture say.
2. Tradition
Mark 7:8 Jesus said, “You have replaced the commands of God with the traditions of men.”
3. Reason
Proverbs 16:25 “There is a way that seems right to man, but the ends thereof are the ways of death.” It’s an unreliable source of authority.
4. Feelings
Judges 21:25. There was anarchy in the world at that time because it says, “Every man did that which was right in his own eyes.”
Proverbs 30:5 “Every word of God is flawless.”
How Do I know the Bible Is The Perfect Word of God?
…and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
